Directions For Use
For best results, apply to freshly pickled and neutralized hide. Wring excess moisture so the hide is damp, not dripping. Apply roughly 10% tanner's yolk based on dry pelt weight - about 1 oz per medium raccoon. Product can be applied as is to a wet hide or mixed with 10 parts Tanner's Yolk to 2 parts water to form a thick cream. Evenly apply Tanner's Yolk to all parts of the hide, applying extra material to the thickest parts of the hide. Fold the hide skin in for 12-24 hours and seal in a plastic bag. Then allow the hide to air dry, stretching the hide as it dries to provide an exceptionally soft, supple pelt.
